March 2006 Cover Girl Darya
Hello everyone! My name's Darya, and I come from Ukraine, of all places. Even though Ukraine isn't exactly a hub of pinup tradition, I'm fortunate enough to be no stranger to the lush imagery of classic pinup.
I was first introduced to pinup by some friends who are into retro-inspired photographers, and, needless to say, I was hooked right away. My passion for pinup was further fuelled when I discovered Bettie Page.
I'm certainly not alone in my admiration of this pinup icon, and I have actually done a number of photo shoots where I pay homage to her famed charms. I have been able to try on several retro guises in my modeling work, but my Bettie Page-inspired character remains my favorite.
Retro modeling is an important part of my life now, and I'm more than happy to share my work with you. Even though I'm so far away, I'm sure you can relate to what I do.

Just e-mail your photo and a short bio to pinup@porthalcyon.com and if your photo is as handsome or lovely as the other ladies and gents featured in our gallery, we'll contact you for a short bio and put your winsome visage up on our home page. Photos should be at least 350 pixels wide, and the model and setting should represent vintage or classic style. If requested, the identity of the model will be kept in strictest confidence.
