My name is Kate and I live in Germany, near Bavaria. I am 25 years old, and even though I only recently learned about pin-ups, I must admit that I was immediately fascinated by them. So much so that I decided to give it a try myself!
Recently I was working as a nurse, and now I have gone back to school to finish my education. I also am trying to educate my fellow Germans about the style and beauty of pin-ups. There is not much information about them here, but it is my mission to change that.
As far as retro culture goes, I love everything about the 50s and 60s, especially the clothes and the music. My favorite icon is Audrey Hepburn—I think she was absolutely fabulous, and I collect nearly everything from her.
I had a wonderful time taking these photos with a friend of mine. I encourage everyone who appreciates retro style to learn more about pin-ups, and to try it out for themselves. Especially if they live in Germany!
