Happy holidays!
So what's been going down at the good ol' café? Any number of things is the answer!
This month we've been celebrating CharlieH's birthday (many happy returns!), been relishing the prospect of a colourful Christmas in the shape of kitsch decorations and colour wheels, and gotten ourselves all hungry by talking about delicious Christmas cookies and other festive foodstuffs. We've also remembered veterans and the legacy of Pearl Harbor, and have unveiled a shiny thread in which we can post all of our art work! Be sure to check out the "PHMA (Port Halcyon Museum of Art)…we really are very cultured.
We also witnessed George W. Bush gain another term in power, prompting much talk and the usual tossing around of views with gay abandon.
Technically speaking, there was a loss of about a weekend's amount of posts, provoking a number of conspiracy theories to emerge as to how it happened. My speculation was the fact that at one point, the only users online were from the U.K, roughly 5 of us, I posted about this wondrous occasion. But then, soon after, the posts disappeared…coincidence? I think NOT!
As it's well into winter now, and the weather has decided to turn bitterly cold, we've all been wrapping up warm. It also seems as if the lull in new members has been caused by this cold snap, but we do welcome those that have decided to join us this festive season. Hello to swingkidlydi and MissPolkaDotDress, we hope you like it here!
