Café Chat

October, 2004

By Laura Anderson

Hello All,

It's Laura here, ready and raring to go as we move into the dark and cold nights of winter. It's back to the forum for me and here I am writing the chats again.

As usual, the intense chin-wagging continues amongst the many varying topics of the café, and we have seen a large amount of new threads. In addition to another never ending story (possibly even more random than the previous one? Have a butchers and find out!), we've found out what jobs people have, when is an ego too big?—people have their say on this matter, something that baffles me—soup and sandwich combos, pet peeves, childhood toys, and the nature of The Wingnut's oddball pockets.

We've also been looking forward to the release of the Jive Aces new cd—a review will be on this here site in the not-too-distant-future!

Mimi, Spitfire Mk VII, and Lost Soul continue to keep the side up of the newbies, and are now Halcyon Homeowners and a Hotel guest- kudos! Keep it going folks- valuable contributions (salutes)!

The unfortunately ever-popular dead-pool thread has had another addition, in the shape of Christopher Reeve. The tributes and messages have been thoroughly heart-warming—rest in peace, Superman.

Well, that just about wraps it up for this crazy month, speak to ya'll soon- and why not pop into the café and order a cup of conversation?

Shalom my fellow retrophiles and God speed!

Lindy Laura

P.S: don't forget to dress warmly as we approach the cold season—there've been a number of colds on the forum, so beware!
