Yes June has (thankfully) arrived, and summer has made its way into the Café! Picnicking has become ever ubiquitous around here, as well as a victory garden being grown by KittenWithaWhip.
There have been some rather tremendous posts over the last month, including talk of a Port Halcyon convention! It seems that zootsuitcoot, Wingnut, and retrokitten had such a swell time with the Art Deco Society of San Francisco that they've already made plans to head back in September, and are coaxing the rest of the gang to come along!
A very helpful post on hair (started by myself) has aided me and strangekat in radically changing our hairstyle, and we've had (I do believe) 3 birthdays! Happy birthday to trixie, lindydivaus (who also got married...show off!), and swingdrummer. Many happy returns!
As the D-Day commemorations take centre stage, we find out about the many different events across the globe, saluting the men and women who made that day possible, marking the great achievements made for freedom. Photos from the event in Reading, Pennsylvania are expected any day!
